The very next day after Cavin Staff received the letter from the then Duchess of Cornwall Camilla, came the announcement of the Queen’s death, making Camilla now Queen Consort.
Book author Cavin was delighted to receive the royal reply, after sending Camilla copies of his first two children’s books, Tiny Turtle Tim and Tiny Turtle Tim in the Coral Sea. {his third is due in November).
“I sent them to Camilla after seeing media coverage of her keen interest and involvement in encouraging children to read and reading to them from an early age,” he said. “I dedicated the second book to her.”
“I was so excited to receive her personal reply, only to be stunned by the sad news the very next day of the Queen’s passing.”
