“From the many wonderful accessibility features and the ample space for
exercising, training or just having fun, this centre is designed for everyone.”
Almost 600 lucky community members were able to take part in free, guided
tours of the facility ahead of the opening, giving the community an exclusive
sneak peek behind the scenes.
Many tour participants were thrilled by what they saw.
Pamela Croft was one such local who said she was excited to use the accessibility
features and spend time with her family at the new facility.
“I think it is brilliant, I don't live far from here so I have been watching it grow and
grow,” Pamela said.
“Now that I am having a look, it is spectacular!
“I can't wait to do water aerobics in a warm pool.
“To be disabled - to have all of that disability stuff is fantastic.
“I can't wait to bring my grandchildren here - they are going to love it too - I think
it is brilliant for everyone in the family.”
Fellow tour attendee Coral Walker shared in the excitement.
“I love that it caters for everybody,” Coral said.
“I really love the surroundings, the trees... I love it all.
“I will be coming here with my grandchildren.”
