The Coastline Newspapers Pty Ltd is an independent family company which was started in 1986 by Michael McRae.

Michael was an announcer/compere and newspresenter with WIN TV based in Wollongong. He started his radio career at 4MB Maryborough and later moved to Radio 2GZ and CBN 8 in Orange NSW.
