On Saturday 12th August 2023 in Bundaberg, 295 participants from all over Australia, in teams of two will start their car engines and tackle a mystery five-day driving route. They will drive over thousands of kilometres, but unlike any other journey each night’s stop-over will only be unveiled to them at the start of each day…..hence the Mystery!
Driven by a desire to help find a cure for cancer, they are taking part in the annual Mystery Box Rally - one of Australia’s largest independently run fundraisers for Cancer Council. Cars must be older than 25 years, roadworthy with no 4WD or AWD and teams need to raise a minimum of $4,000 to participate. This year’s fundraising goal is $1million with the tally sitting just under $800,000. The finish line will be back in Bundaberg on Wednesday 16th August.
